Formulation Guidelines
Recommended Usage Rate: 0.1% to 2.0% in formulations (Commonly 0.5%).
Stability: Stable in pH range 3-8
Solubility: Water-soluble (soluble at 0.5% at room temperature). Allantoin is water-soluble but has limited solubility at room temperature (around 0.5%).
Mixing Method: To avoid recrystallization (which can feel gritty on the skin) when using concentrations above 0.5%, ensure it is fully dissolved and consider adding it during the cool-down phase of your formulation below 50°C (122°F) , or keep the final concentration below 0.55%.
