CA$5.00
Azelaic Acid is a natural dicarboxylic acid found in grains like wheat, rye, and barley. It is a versatile, multi-functional active ingredient that addresses multiple skin concerns simultaneously—from stubborn acne to hyperpigmentation and chronic redness.
This white, crystalline powder is an essential ingredient for creating serums, creams, and gels targeting acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin.
Key Benefits
Acne-Fighting Antibacterial: Effectively kills acne-causing bacteria (

) on the surface and within pores.
Pigmentation & Melasma Reduction: Inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production, making it highly effective for fading dark spots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Redness & Rosacea Relief: Acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, calming irritation and reducing vascular redness associated with rosacea.
Gentle Exfoliation: Refines skin texture by unclogging pores and reducing keratin production (keratolytic action).
Safe & Well-Tolerated: Suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin, and generally safe for use during pregnancy/lactation.

Formulating Tips: It is generally added to the oil phase or added post-emulsification (cool-down phase) at 40°C or lower. Due to its limited solubility, it works best when combined with solvents like propylene glycol or propanediol to avoid a gritty, uneven texture.
Usage Tips
Because this is a raw powder, it may require heating or solubilizers (like Propylene Glycol) to dissolve fully.
It is not an AHA or BHA, but it offers similar exfoliating benefits without the same level of irritation.
Azelaic Acid is highly sought after by customers looking for gentle, pregnancy-safe alternatives to retinoids. It pairs well with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C, making it a highly versatile and popular ingredient for customized, effective skincare routines.

As of August 29, 2025, there is a 35% tariff or duty charge imposed on all goods coming into the U.S. from Canada. The United States mandates that all packages entering the U.S. from Canada must have their duties prepaid (settled upfront).
Our "USA only" pricing incorporates the necessary duty and processing fee calculated separately for each item. The advantage is that we charge the exact duty for each item and use the most economical shipping rates for orders bound for the U.S. Consequently, our prices are more budget-friendly compared to the Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping option, where you might pay a lower item price but face exorbitant shipping costs, as the estimation for duty and duty processing fees is included in the shipping charges. In the DDP scenario, shipping companies rely on a general estimate for duties which can exceed the true amount, as they do not possess the exact information for each unique item.
