Formulation Guidelines:
Recommended Usage Rate: Typically used between 1.0% and 5.0% depending on the application.
Regulatory Note: For leave-on skincare formulas, a maximum concentration of 2.6% is widely accepted as safe by international safety committees. It can be used up to 10% in rinse-off systems.
How to Incorporate: Mix directly into the water phase of your formulation. It can also be pre-mixed with active powders to dissolve them before introducing them into the main batch.
Common Applications: Vitamin C serums, AHA/BHA exfoliants, self-tanning lotions, split-end hair treatments, and clarifying face toners.
Storage & Safety:
Storage: Store below 30°C (86°F) in an airtight container located in a cool, dark, and dry place. This raw material is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air), so keep it tightly sealed when not in use.
