It is created through the ethoxylation of hydrogenated castor oil, resulting in a multifunctional, off-white to pale-yellow semi-solid paste that acts as an exceptional solubilizer, allowing essential oils, fragrance oils, and oil-soluble vitamins to blend seamlessly into clear, water-based formulations without clouding.

FORMULATION & PRE-MIXING GUIDE:
To achieve crystal-clear aqueous solutions (like linen mists, body sprays, or toners), always pre-mix your oils with the solubilizer before introducing water:
Determine the Ratio: For every 1 part of fragrance or essential oil, use 3 to 5 parts of PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (a 1:3 or 1:5 ratio).
Combine and Blend: Thoroughly mix the oils and PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil together in a clean vessel until completely uniform. Note: If the paste is too thick, gently warm it up to 30°C–35°C until liquid before mixing.
Hydrate: Slowly pour your water phase (water, hydrosols, or aloe) into the oil blend while stirring continuously. The mixture will quickly clear up into a transparent solution.
4. Process Temperature: Can be processed in either the heated oil/water phase or added directly to the cool-down phase of a batch.
5. Compatibility: As a non-ionic material, it is fully compatible with anionic, cationic, and non-ionic co-surfactants and polymers.
6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place inside a tightly sealed container. Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
